Timeline
1974 - September 2nd (Siracusa, Italy)I was born in Siracusa, Italy
This is a view of my hometown from an unusual perspective… presented by me. On the left in the middle, at the entrance of the bay, there is Ortigia Island, a little ancient jewel forged by the influence of Greek, Arab, and Roman dominations. If you have a chance, enjoy drinking an aperitif at sunset on a warm summer day in its magical atmosphere.
2000- October 20th (Pisa, Italy)
I graduated in Computer Science at the University of Pisa (score 100 / 110).
I worked on my thesis at the PERCRO Lab of the Scuola Superiore S. Anna of Pisa. My work was oriented to explore the Human Machine Interaction in complex Environments by using Augmented Reality and Haptic Feedback technologies.
2000 - 2002 (Pisa, Italy)
I worked as researcher at the PERCRO Lab of Scuola Superiore S. Anna of Pisa. During this period I continued the activity I have started with my thesis. I discovered the value of an idea and the power of team work centered on an idea.
It was an amazing experience I will never forget.
2002 - 2014 (Catania, Italy)
I worked for STMicroelectronics as Senior Application Engineer in Catania, Italy.
I started to discover the power of integration between hardware, firmware and software. In this period the ODeV idea started to take shape.
2014 - 2019 (Seoul, Korea)
I worked for STMicroelectronics as Field Application Engineer (FAE) in Seoul, Korea.
Another lucky and incredible experience. I had the opportunity to work with our top customers in order to bring products (powered by STM32) on the consumer market. Here the ODeV framework has become robust, reliable, expansible and… what it is today.
During this five years I have also discovered Korea and that part of the world.
2019 - 2024 (Antibes, France)
I worked for STMicroelectronics as senior application engineer in in the Artificial Intelligence Solution (AIS) team first and then in the Wireless Connectivity Solution (Wi-Fi) team in Sophia Antipolis, France.
Programming embedded application is still my passion, but technology is always evolving. So, I have started a new challenge to discover the Artificial Intelligence on the edge and the wireless connectivity inspired by a vision of complex embedded application based on four pillars:
- Sensing (Images, Motion and Inertial sensors, Audio, etc.)
- Processing (AI models, Neural Networks, Deep Learning)
- Connectivity (BLE, Wi-Fi, etc.)
- Security
2024 - 2025 (Antibes, France)
I worked for ARM as Senior Software Engineer – Fast Model Developer, contributing to develop high-quality CPU models for ARM-based processors.
You have to have a lot of passion for what you are doing because it is so hard ...
if you don't, any rational person would give up.
